Not a whole lot of choices really.

I like buffalo wild wings on 280. I just want to try somewhere new this season

There are plenty of choices. It all depends on what type of atmosphere you are going for...

I like the BWW atmosphere but maybe something that is not so wide open. Something different from the BWW and fox and hound kind of places.

to avoid all the nut job bama fans i'd say a quiet hotel room
j/k- one of my good memories was about three years ago. i was traveling back to louisiana from a work on a saturday. stopped at dreamland in t-town to catch some lunch and a few pigskin minutes. well, started talking with some bama fans and next thing i know i'm looking for a hotel room 7 hours later. good people.

I've heard good things about On Tap. How is the food and beer selection?

I am opening a sports bar in pelham. Come watch games there. If you come in and say tigerdroppings I will buy your first beer.

The Tilted Kilt on 280 is a good spot to watch a game and the food is pretty damn good. Or rather it has been the 3 times I have eaten there.

Buffalo Wild Wings or Baumhowers wings both on 150 in Hoover aren't bad.

you can't just drive ten minutes back to hoover? get on the interstate and it'll take you just as long to get to hoover as it would anywhere in alabaster going down those county roads

If I were you, I'd be more concerned about which gang I'm affiliating myself with in B'ham, rather than the best place to watch a football game B'ham.

Good thing I'm in Auburn now then, huh?

If you go to the main On Tap in Lakeview, you'll be good. They have their food menu, and their beer menu. Hence why they're called On Tap. Tons of draft beer.
