I never said I was God's gift as a QB, but seriously, almost 10 years later and guys are still hung up on it all? It's shite like this that keeps me at home watching games and not going to them. I haven't been back to a game since 2003. I mean, I even had my car keyed after the Alabama game in 2001. I can only assume bay an angry Auburn fan.
I had some good games, had some bad games and a few in between. Yes, I was highly touted out of HS, and maybe a little over hyped, but how many guys actually live up to it? 10%?
Just my 2 cents.

IF this really is Daniel Cobb, then I am sorry that someone keyed your car. Obviously they were an idiot. But the fact that a lot of people still care who was the quarterback 10 years ago is what makes us fans. If we hung out together, I would probably rib you a little for some of the bad games and you could come back at me for being an armchair quarterback that has never played a collegiate snap. But in the end it is fans like us that keep the revenue coming in to keep this 800lb gorilla of a sport going. Don't let someone e-bully you or get in your head. This is all just a game in the end, and should not be anyone's #1 priority in life other than the coaches who are paid for it. If you are ever out in ATL, I will drink a beer with you.

Good Points. Perhaps we'll run into eachother down at the Bucket Shop and have a cold one.
I could walk in and ask who wants to buy a former Auburn QB a beer! J/K.
War Damn Eagle

Come on the dude completed 38% of his passes against Syracuse and 33% against Florida in 2002
Who would be drafted higher after this year? DC or Mallett. Cuz those are Mallett type numbers against Bama and Ole Miss.

Daniel, here's a question that the real Daniel Cobb would know that most fans on here almost surely won't.
What hotel and city did AU stay at when you played on the road at UGA?

2001 was the only year that we played at UGA. 2000 & 2002 were at Auburn. We would bus all the way to Athens for the game. I believe we stayed in the same old run down hotel in LaGrange that we stay at for home games. Can't Remember the name of it, but it wasn't 4 star or anything. It was basically a motel right off the highway behind a gas & grocery.
Forgive me for not remembering the details. After all, I did get knocked out cold in the Ball State game in 2000 in my first Auburn appearance. Carted off the field after Danny Lindsey snapped the ball over my head in shotgun during mop up duty backing up Leard. I scooped it up, scrambled and on the way down to the turf, I caught a knee from the DB to the side of the head. It was ugly! Silas Daniels told me that next week, "DC, I ain't never seen no white boy snore with his eyes open"
Wow. Lot's of memories.

Well, look on the bright side. You were pretty bad, but you were still better than Jeff Klein. How's that for an olive branch? Or are we still scheduled for a meeting at the local Sonic?

the worlds full of D'bags. And making a few posts has been entertaining. I'm happy to contribute where I can. If anything, I'm happy to offer my insight on a number of topics.

Thanks for the olive branch NorthGwinnetTiger. I'm still up for meeting if you are. What's local for you and when?
Being a great SEC QB has as much to do with who's around you & their experience, who's coaching you & how long they've been coaching you, and most importantly the TIMING with which you earn the starting job. Having the skills and talent to play the position is really only about 50% of it. Just my 2 cents.
