Question for Arkansas fans

Does Texas still hold a grudge against you guys for bolting the SWC? And do they blame Arkansas for the demise of the SWC? Being a Nebraska fan, I am amazed how Horns fans cannot comprehend it was Texas that was looking to leave the Big 12 long before Nebraska considered bolting. Yet, when the Big 12 inevitably collapses, Texas will blame us.

Yes, however Texas was suppose to come with us at the time then got all butthurt when mommy said they couldn't go and we left anyway.

Absolutely. Everyone at the time knew the SWC was the sick man of the NCAA and the consensus was it was going to have to add more out-of-state teams if it was going to survive. I'm sure you've heard all the charges too - they only care about money, they just got too big for their britches, etc.

Neither do I, but a few of my fellow Husker fans are a little sensitive to the charges of "destroying" a conference. They have a soft spot for Kansas, Iowa St. and other teams we faced for nearly 100 years. I tell them Nebraska was the only school that didn't want Texas and their cronies in the Big 8 in the first place while the other Big 8 members welcomed them with open arms. I tell them to grow thick skin and not worry about what Horns fans are saying or writing.

Yes, Texas fans and A&M fans and all of the SWC fans were quite butthurt about the SWC folding.
Only a few old school fans still care.

It doesn't matter what Texas thinks. Nebraska had to do what was best for Nebraska. Y'all will never regret it. I do like playing Texas OOC because the officiating isn't biased but I don't know any Hog fans who miss being in the same conference with them.
ETA: It's UT's fault. They're dysfunctional assholes. They don't give a damn (and never have) what happens to the conference or any other team in it for that matter. Texas needs to be an independent. That way, they can be their own problem without screwing others over in the process.
