Bama's Samoan commit

IMO, in 5 years we'll look back and say he was one of the gems of their 2011 class. Just something about Samoan football players.
Funny story, about 5 months ago, a bama fan called into Jox and said he had just watched a special on Samoan football players and their hard nosed work ethic. Dude said he thought Bama should go get them one. That Brian Straw character laughed at the caller and it actually happened.

I agree with you. The BOL interview after his commitment was a great look into this kid's character. It was the best interview I've ever read from one of our commitments and his head truly is in the right place.

Samoan's usually are good people, they are the happy go lucky type til you mess with them then its game over.

He'll play pretty quickly either way. Vlachos will be a senior when Luatua gets to campus, and Chad Lindsey will be the only other center on the roster then.
Luatua also gives Alabama a chance with NG Viliami Moala. He's the prototype for the 3-4 defense.

How many times have you heard that from a recruit? dude is already ready to run through a wall and he hasnt stepped one foot on the practice field.

I don't follow up on recruits once they choose another school that's not Alabama, but I hear it often relative to Alabama.

I like the thought of Luatua and the Kouandjio brothers manning Alabama's offensive line in the future.
