No Cox, no Eibner, Smyly has a blister problem.

I haven't been on in a few days, what happened to Cox and Eibner?

Cox hurt his back last weekend against SCar.
He only played a few innings in Fridays game when it started stiffening up on him again.
Eibner hurt his hand originally against Ole Miss. He was sliding into first to beat a pick off throw, and semi jammed that same hand.
Both should be ready for regional tourney time.
Thats a big blow though.
Cox hits .432 with 50+ RBI & 7 HR
Eibner hits .332 with 61 RBI & 18 HR

You might go 0-2 in the SEC tourney but I think you have a decent shot to win one game in your Big12 tourney.

Some may, who are looking to host a regional who have not quite secured their host spot yet.
You can really run through pitching in the conference tourney.
Van Horn said we play with what we got, if we make it through or win a couple games great. If not, oh well.

Thanks for the update. Yes, that is a big blow for Arkansas. I hope both guys have a speedy recovery.

I have no reason to believe LSU won't win some games this weekend. We won it during a 24 game win streak and we won it with everything sewn up last year.

Shoot, I'm taking it seriously. If some dominoes fall our way, if we can run through this thing we might have an outside shot at a national seed.

DVH said Smyly was gonna start against Vandy the other day. And plus we pretty much didn't have Eibner last weekend. 1-12 8K's and beat Vandy. I think we could beat Vandy again without them.

DVH said today in his press conference, that Smyly has a blister problem and likely will not pitch Wednesday in the opener.
Which is why I started this thread.

Some are trying to secure regional host, SC is trying to secure a Super host. So we may not need to win it but we need to take it seriously enough to get a couple of wins.
