Chizik > saban?

I've been thinking about these two, with all their recruiting battles and little subtle verbal jabs at each other. I mean, who is looking better right now? I know, I know, saban has 2 national titles. But he's been coaching a little longer and had better opportunities (LSU and Bama). His record at bama his first year was 7-6. Chizik's first year..8-5. Chizik showed this year he could recruit with saban and he took him to the wire in saban's third year at his respectable program. Jus sayin', I think I would consider chizik and his staff and I believe they are going to surprise bama at BDS this year.

The one with the winning record as a head coach.

i dont think we win at BDS this year, but i like the way our program is headed. as for bama, i think as long as saban is there, they will be top 15 in the nation every year. i just hope we can get to that point, and i think we will. the state of alabama is about to own the SEC for the next 10 years IMO

Saban. Chizik has a better record as a DC

The correct answer is Bobby Johnson.

GTFO. you know you cant judge his coaching abilities based on his time at ISU

Anyone who takes Chizik over Saban is being a homer.
That being said, I'm content with what Chizik and company have done so far at Auburn.

If that helps you sleep at night. I mean, it's not like the next coach at ISU had a winning record or anything like that.

Saban at present is a better coach because you've seen how he handles success, meaning he is consistent overall. We'll see how well he does at a program when he stays there for several years but by all indications he will be a consistently good coach. Chizik has proven he can win as a coach but has a lot to prove still. he must show he can coach a team that can handle success.

Chizik just seem to be moving things along faster at the barn. Hell, everyone talked shite bout tubbs not recruiting well his last few years there, so I would say he was doing more with less than saban last year

Chizick has done a good job, there is not as much competition for instates as us fans want to bicker
about. ALabama is taking a lot of shots at national recruiting this yr and it could bite us in the rear. We offered Landrum who is supposed to be good but slow play because of Depriest and a couple of others. My problem is what if Depriest decides to go Oh ST and Bama is left out in the cold. Also and I dont know but if you recruit more nationally and pay less attention to instate talent on a down yr, but then when the talent is better you try to recruit instate guys with another traditional instate power does that hurt you in recruiting down the line?
