if it's a reputable trophy, grats to UF. i got no beef giving props where they're due. UF has certainly been a dominant program my whole lifetime.

It's kind of reputable. It's just recognition of the school with the most athletic success over all sports.
The sad thing is we can't win the national version of this trophy because Stanford participates in about 379 more sports than SEC schools do.

True. That's why those overall standings are pretty worthless.

Stanford has won the Director's Cup for something like 15 or 16 years running. Basically impossible for anyone else to win it based on the number of sports Stanford competes in.
