Why should SEC teams do that? Our schedules are hard enough as it is with having to play anywhere from 3-5 ranked opponents a year just from in house.

You are contradicting yourself, aren't you? If they are really just an overrated sack of shite, like you are implying they are, then it should be no more difficult to beat them than it is to beat any other team from a second-tier conference.....and there should therefore be no reluctance to scheduling them....

Your reluctance, however, suggests that you believe they really are pretty good and you are afraid you might lose the game, especially on the road.....and if that is the case, it suggests that their ranking is deserved.....

Again, you can't have your cake and eat it, too......

You need to stop implying and guessing what I'm suggesting, because, once again, you are very wrong. I've never said Boise is a bad football team. They've shown that they're ok. My beef with them is that they are given a free pass to the BCS. I've also stated countless times why SEC teams don't need to schedule them just to prove a point. 3 of us already have and have dismissed them like a nosy fly on a summer day. What they need to do is play other big time opponents on their home field. They're conveniently not playing VT in Blacksburg. But playing 1 good team a year won't cut it, considering the rest of their schedule. They need to schedule 3 big timers, with at least 1 being at that person's field. They they will have a real life, legitimate hat in the ring for deserving a NC.

Also, if conference realignement does happen and they don't join a real conference, then it'll be painfully obvious that they're scared and don't want real competition.

Being pretty good and being good enough to run the table in the SEC or Big 12 or Big 10 are two completely different things. Hell, TCU and BYU and Utah all go play multiple legit opponents most years in non home and homes. Why do you think people are willing to play those teams and not Boise? They are for the most part just as good, and from a second tier conference. It has nothing to do with fear. Boise just wants to negotiate like they are Texas when they are well, Boise. BCS conference schools just aren't going to put up with being strong armed by some upstart who has only even been around for 15 years. They need us. We don't need them. Most of the "BCS buster" schools understand that. Boise isn't one of them.
