re: Who is your key player for success next year?

If Love or Fluker can play right tackle "well", and Chance Warmack can hold down right guard (I think they'll move Barrett to left guard) we might have another good year.

Too much raw talent in the DBs for them to go wrong.... except the safety position. fricking dumbass Robbie Green screwed that ALL up. Who knows if Woodson is ready yet? ... and I mean the mental part. I know he eats babies and kills people with his bare hands for a living, but if he doesn't know Saban's defense he won't play. Then what? we have Mark Barron... and..... ummm.... Mark Barron.

I'm not worried that much about the OL although the RT position is worrying me a little. Alabama lost three OL last year, players that were clearly better than the ones that's moving on from this year's team and we didn't miss a beat. I think a loss that is sort of going under the radar is Colin Peek. He was McElroy's security blanket last year making critical catches when we needed it the most.

Yeah I hope Cade is accurate too.

It'll be fun watch him drill guys on kickoffs though.

While losing Mike Johnson and Drew Davis (more so Johnson than Davis) will hurt our offensive line, we don't have nearly as much work to do there as we did coming into last season after losing three starters (two All-Americans). The DBs worry me, there's plenty of talent but not a whole lot of experience. In fact, there's virtually none at CB. However, the most important player for Alabama next year will be Dont'a Hightower. He is going to be responsible for taking McClain's roll in the defense, as a dominant middle LB, but more importantly the signal caller of the defense. Apparently he learned a lot and was really able to learn all the ins and outs of the defense while being hurt most of the season, so hopefully some good came from his injury. If he's unable to go, the defense is going to have to find a new leader and somebody to be the coach on the field real quick. If he is ready to go as expected, the defense is going to rely on him for his play and his leadership.

People talk all the time about the OL and Defensive losses for Alabama, but losing their punter and clutch FG kicker could be huge for them next year.

For MSU it has to be Relf and Russell at QB. They will split time and Relf will run the Wildcat and Option and Russell will be our thrower. We all know Relf can run the Question is how will Russell respond to SEC ball. He is a smart kid with a really good arm but playing in the SEC can make you look really bad really fast if your not careful.

Mark Barron - He has to become the QB of the secondary, and get the youngsters in line.

That does sound strange. I played against Stevan and he definitely wasnt a bruiser back then. LSU has done a great job with him. He's always been an amazing athlete add that with the strength and power that he's gained at LSU and he should be a top SEC back

I do too, but he's still the most important player on the team. If he were to fail to do his job, it would hurt us worse than any other player on the team not doing his job.
