Now that Mcclain and Spikes(thank god), who will be the next all-american lb to come out of the sec? I really think hightower has a chance. I guess it depend on how he rebounds from injury.

Rennie Curran? I think he's returning to UGA as a senior this season. Anyway:
2009: Named 1-of-12 finalists for the Rotary Lombardi Award and 1-of-16 semifinalists for the Chuck Bednarik Award.

Rennie Curran went pro...
I would say Hightower, Bostic, and maybe Nico.. Not real sure on this topic.

D.T. Shackelford is my sleeper pick. Not trying to be a homer but this guy has all kinds of ability and more importantly, he has a smart head on his shoulders.
No kidding, last august I was at some practices and he was instructing some other players on LB zone drop assignments...as a freshman. Anyone who knows anything about the transition from high school to college ball knows how rare that is.
Had he not hurt his ankle early in 09, I think he would have been frehman all-american. Really looking forward to his career.

If Kelvin Sheppard improves just a little he would be every bit as good as Spikes or McClain was. Sheppard had a breakout year last season.

He was really solid. What are his measurables? He seems a little undersized. Not that his measurables would hold him back from being an all SEC LB. I'm just curious to see how big he's.

I agree Hightower would seem logical but that knee was bad and I mean bad. I dont know much about other LB in the sec but the player I am most interested in seeing at the next level would be that Easley kid that commited to Fla. I know he is DL, but he looked great granted against other high school kids
