I just don't know if he's worth $5 million a year. I think he's a little overrated.

I can't even begin to tell you how influential Mack Brown has been to Texas football. His teams have won 10 or more games for 9 straight years. The loss to Bama is his first bowl loss in God knows when. He runs a clean program, genuinely cares for his players, loves UT and Austin, and in turn he is beloved here. Our football stadium will soon be 2nd to none thanks to the increased revenue the program brings in, not only from ticket sales, but also from alumni contributions. He has re-energized a fan base that was prone to showing up late, sitting on their hands, and leaving early. Texas games are fun again. DKR is loud and intimidating, two words that were never used to describe it before Mack got here. It goes so much deeper than just winning games. By the time he retires, he may eclipse Texas' own version of Bear Bryant (Darryl Royal) as our school's most revered football coach.

You had me right until you said "Loud and intimidating"

The Home games the last few years have not been of the highest quality. Texas Tech was the best home game this year...Arkansas maybe the year before. Plus, all UT games are early as shite (outside of TT this year).
