12-12 at Arky with a good chance to fall to 12-13 with a loss here to ECU of all teams. He's also just 5-11 in SEC play. Why does everyone think he's any good?

Because Houston (Bitchtits) Scrotum face was wasting all that precious talent he had at Arkansas going to Cotton Bowls instead of Sugar Bowls and NCG's.

I don't think Petrino sucks. He didn't have much to work with last year, but still had a big win at the end of the season over LSU. This year they were basically a play away against LSU from the Cotton Bowl (and don't forget the Florida game) and they certainly showed improvement over last year, which is the most important thing in the second year of a new regime. The Liberty Bowl is just another case of one team wanting to be there and the other one wishing they were somewhere else, don't overreact.

No way. The Hog fans will fill you in, Houston Nutt coasted on the job the last few years and the cupboard was bare.
He is a very good coach/mercenary who will do what is necessary to improve and win in COLLEGE.

Not really. I'm sorry we lost but at least I don't have to hear deluded Miles supporters claim everything is just fine for the next 8 months. He'll be on the hotseat in 2010 and the inevitable clusterfrick that follows will force the administration to make a change. We'll hire a competent coach who will take Miles' great recruting classes and

Though I'm piling on as much as possible right now, I do think Petrino is a good coach.
It's becoming very obvious that nobody can win at Arkansas like the fans expect them to.

DS, I don't think you read ANY threads over here calling BP the best coach in the SEC. If you read it, it's likely some ranking list started by a bored Bama fan just trying to get Saban's name at the top.

How do you get an Elite coach at Arkansas.
Go look at recruiting.
It wasn't a Houston Nutt issue.
It was an Arkansas issue.
Houston Nutt is 2-0 in Bowl games at Ole Miss after going 2-5 at Arkansas.
Again, sounds like an Arkansas problem to me.
I know Houston Nutt isn't going to take us to a BCS game, but at least I'm not naive enough to think he should.

We were preaseason number 11.
We were overrated. And our only future 1st round draft pick was hurt all season.
Jevan Snead threw 20 interceptions this year and we won 9 games.
Gotta be happy about that.
Getting to a BCS game isn't too easy with Bama in your division, as you well know.
