A lot of people are saying he is the best QB at the Under Armour practices so far but he has weight issues. I remember seeing a pic from elite 11 where he looked thick. He is up to around 235 lbs at one point. Does this concern Bama fan?

yes it does I know he can control it once he gets here but you have to be concerned when he will sign a D1 school and doesnt have enough self discipline to stay in shape. It could be an indicator of his work ethic. Not that I didnt let myself go but this is different.

that is great but like I said if I had the talent and time these kids have and a major program was interested in me. I would come in in the best shape of my life.

He's enrolling early, so they'll have more time to whip him into shape.

getting in shape is fine but I dont want to be dealing with weight issues with a starting qb every fall. He cant wait until Nov to be in game shape.

You think Saban will allow this? He made Cody cut weight to earn his scholly, granted he was 400lbs. But still, I don't think Saban is gonna let this guy get away with anything.

FWIW, I don't think he'll be starting anytime before McCarron leaves.

So the future of Bama football is in the hands of AJ(toothpick)McBrodie or this overweight, scrotum face fella

Saban cant watch them in the offseason and guys report heavy all the time. As far as Cody goes let me say this I am glad he plays for Bama and think he did his job as good as any NG in cfb, but i find it funny that a guy could only lose about 50 pounds in 2yrs at a college facility with the amount of equipment available. I lost 80 just by changing my diet, and did that in just over a yr and he was larger than me. He should be able to drop 50 in 6 months with all of the fat and excess fluid wt by eating vegetables for crying out loud.

When I watched his game that was televised back in august I think, he was a little thick, but played well. If the kid can pass and read defenses, I'm not real worried bout him being ten or fifteen pounds over weight. The fourth quarter program will fix that. Just about every comitt outside of trent richardson comes in out of shape for sec play in some form or fashion. If the kid has been working more on his pssing and technique than losing weight up til now, I don't have a problem with that.
