Now that Saban has Alabama playing for the NC, they forget that Rich Rodriguez was, at one time, the Chosen One. Most Alabama fans will tell you that they placed their hands upon Nick Saban and, according to the Football Gods, he was ordained as theirs.

Let me get this right. You went and found an article from 2007 that shows UA offered Rich from WVU. What does that say about LSU fans?

It says that your first choice was RR.

But he ended up at Michigan. How are things doing now for the Tide? Good luck against Penn State in a non-BCS bowl by the way. Also, enjoy the 2 game losing streak to UA.

The point is Bama ended up getting Saban, not Rich Rodriguez, Bama is in the National Championship this year, and LSU is not. Bama gets the last laugh LSU fans. Let's move on.

How quickly some LSU fans forget their intelligence/testicles.

Please don't question such profound and insightful observations.

Speculation over the past week has centered on Rodriguez and Miami Dolphins coach Nick Saban.

quote:

Sources who had indicated to The Tuscaloosa News on Tuesday that Miami Dolphin coach Nick Saban was “a prominent figure" in the UA coaching search reaffirmed that information on Wednesday.

Saban was in the mix from the very beginning, and we'll hear someday how it all went down.

And another quote, not from the article:

quote:

Someday Mal Moore will write a book about the process of narrowing down and hiring Nick Saban, and I can tell you, having heard part of it, it is quite an interesting story...(Gary Danielson)

Unrelated, but still interesting to me. Check out this nugget from the article:

quote:

The UA athletic director was scheduled to fly from New York to Chicago today to attend the Tide’s fourth-ranked men’s basketball team at Notre Dame.

Don't you mean "LESticles"...?

Remember that term, LSU fans?

Rich Rod would not have been a bad consolation prize. Guy's a winner. I just think it's hard to win at Michigan these days.

I don't think so...Michigan is one of the best programs in America. I think Rich Rod's system is a bad fir with the personnel, he needs time to get the right type of players, or (worst case for Michigan) the competition is a little tougher than he's used to, and his coaching isn't up to par.

I bet Harbaugh would have Michigan winning the Big Ten within three years.

Forgive me, I did forget the part about Gary Danielson's explanation.

Pat White is a winner. Rich Rodriguez is an average coach. You can win at Michigan, but not with a spread offense. You can't get enough speed on a Big Ten team to run that offense.

He needs to be at a southern school where all they care about is winning and he can recruit his type of players. He's being undermined at Michigan because the Schembechler guys all wanted Miles.

Alabama = Notre Dame of the South.

If you don't believe it. Just ask them.

"College Football is better when their winning."

"Let me tell you about our ____ National Championships."

This is too easy.

You'll hear it again, next year, in Baton Rouge. When we force about 5 turnovers in a "karma is a bitch" type revenge. Don't believe me? Just ask Auburn what happened after 2006.

And the Corndogs can never forget. Still obsessed with Saban.
