As Bama fans... Which of you here would have gladly agreed to saying "Sayonara" to Saban if he won us a national title in year #3 (pre-hire, obviously)

Which of y'all would rather KEEP him than win a national title THIS year?

I for one honestly believe I would rather lose this game than Saban... that is, if the hypothetical situation were to arise and God tell me i had to make a choice between one or the other.

He's gonna win us a NC AND stay for a while. Chill.

You have to take the national title. Fans just don't have a clue how difficult it is to win one. No living coach has won more than three national championships. The odds are pretty high against Saban winning more than two at Alabama. When an opportunity like this presents itself, you have to seize it no matter what.

This is amusing. When Saban was at LSU, Gumps said he was a recruiting cheat (see Jamarcus Russell, Chevis Jackson, et al), a philanderer, a damn Yankee, etc., etc.

Now, they ponder the answer they would give if God Almighty gave them a choice between a NC and keeping him.

You have to be amused and laugh.

(Before the "obssession" talk starts, remember it was the Gumps who are obssessed with Dennis Franchione, (Does the name "Fran Phony" ring a bell, Gumps?),whose only unpardonable sin was that he had the nerve to leave Tideland and go to Texas (where he's from*) and coach there.

* I am also from Texas. Any Gump who says Bama** is better than Texas is, well, a Gump.
