How to beat saban

A friend of mine played for ulm and said that putting guys in motion and unbalanced lines helped them win the game in '07. Don't know if it would work for all teams but it worked for them.

Good plan. The only problem I see with it is this isn't the 2007 Bama team.
Just a minor detail, though.

Don't let your QB get hurt in the 2nd half , get a couple of first downs in Q 4 with 10 minutes to go and run down the clock, don't get a roughing the punter penalty, and avoid getting completely fricked by cheating SEC officials. That seems like the right formula.

The problem is, this isn't the 2007 Alabama team. Regardless, Alabama had over twice the amount of yardage against ULM in that game, but an eight of the heart. That was a team that had completely quit, and many of the seniors on that team said as much after their careers were over. If ULM's "formula" was so successful in the long run, I guess Charlie Weatherby would still have a job, and Alabama wouldn't have gone 26-3 since the ULM game in 2007.

The key to beating Saban is out working him. Not too many teams put in the effort to actually do that. You also have to go 3 deep in checkoffs. It takes a lot to time to coach players up to be able to do this. The teams that do this will cause Saban to unravel. This is why I'm giving Texas the upset against Bama. They have a month to prepare and they also have Major Applewhite and Will Muschamp to help prepare for Bama. Gonna be one of the best games ever from a coaching and play making standpoint. Watch for who wins the 2nd half adjustments.

Last time I checked, Alabama and Texas played their last game on the same day.

This fact is overstated. This is a two-way street.

You totally mis my point. I'm not surprised. Bama is much better coached then most teams which is hard for a team to catch up with one week to prepare. Texas will catch up to Bama having a month to prepare.
An you say having Major Applewhite and Muschamp is over stated?
Keep believing that.

No one flipped out. People are just defending their team. That's what we're supposed to do right?

You're the one still hauling a two year old ULM billboard with a LSU avatar. I'd say you're pretty damn sucky yourself.

It's overstated because Alabama's defensive staff will know Texas' tendencies as well. Muschamp essentially uses the same scheme Alabama does. What Texas would gain from Muschamp having worked for Saban is made up in the fact that the very tendencies Muschamp would know, Saban would know too. Applewhite would be more of a threat, but he wasn't here when McElwain came, and while the terminology may be similar, there are many changes McElwain brought when he came from Fresno State. The short and sweet of it is, both teams will know each other very well when the game is played. It will come down to players executing more than what each staff knows about the other.

Do you think no other team has tried that this season? You think every team we play, including LSU, just went out and expected to lose, so they didn't show any physicality?
You're one of the worst posters on this site, and that's saying something.

The games I saw Saban loose was when the opponent kept him off balance and played a fast tempo game. These teams threw the ball over the top hit under neath routes and when least expected ran the ball up the middle. The most important is the middle with screens TE releases, you have to play error free football while controling field position.

Also, Anders and McClain did a pretty good job of covering UF's Hernandez on the underneath routes...and I imagine that he's a better TE than anything Texas has, so we're cool there. The Texas running game - do they have a running game other than McCoy?

I'm confident about this game, but not overly so. It will be a test for sure.
