Funny little bit from OM/MSU recruit Vincent Sanders

As for the ongoing battle between the in-state Egg Bowl rivals, Sanders said Mississippi State "started it because they came down and they talked about (Ole Miss') Pat Patterson and (MSU's) Chad Bumphis, comparing their stats. …Ole Miss came down and they were telling me that (MSU) to use their first receiver and compare him to (Ole Miss') fifth receiver. …When State came, it looked good, but when Ole Miss came and proved their point, they looked good, too. It's going to come down to am I going to go some place where they have an established quarterback or am I going to go somewhere where it's an unproven quarterback?"

The Egg Bowl obviously means very little to this chap. As it should. I mean, State got destroyed last year 45-0 and still pulled in their best "legit" class in history.

The egg bowl isn't an egg.
It's a football.
It's name is a reference to the way that footballs looked back in the 20's when the trophy was created.

Are you referring to croomz first, racially driven class?
If so... You're a racist.

ha...
CJS had some great classes but he cheated to get them, which is why CR00MZ was hired in the first place...

8th? That's the amount of total stars in his first class.

8th.
True story.
I went back and looked at all the recruiting classes from the past five years. (though I think this was 6 years ago for state)
Croom's first class ranked 8th in the country.
Since then, State has not been ranked higher than 10th in the conference in recruiting.
Look for a relatively in-depth post about SEC talent (based on recruiting rankings) later today.

Oh really? Every single team in the SEC has between 12-15 Wide recievers on their roster, some are redshirted, others are walkons.

I think that the fact that Patterson is at Ole Miss will help yall land Sanders.
Carlos Thompson is a MUST HAVE for State IMO.

We should have redshirted his arse.

FIFY
Patterson was a top 50 national recruit and Nutt used Grady more than him. That makes no sense at all to me.
