I was a lifelong Hog fan until the shi+crazed fans ran him off. Now I'm an Ole Miss fan.

I've studied this team and I don't think they can be beat in 09 b/c their front 7 is too strong and experienced. They've got a good enough running game, Snead, and I think a decent enough replacement for Oher. It will come down to Florida and Ole Miss in the SECCG and I'm going with Om.

quote:

Gus is about to fail miserably b/c he's never done anything with a QB under center and my bet is on he can't recruit or develop an SEC caliber qb (tried to bring Burns to Ark). Even if he can do those things, he was pretty neive to jump into that horrific Auburn situation right now of all places when he was rolling in conf USA. Arkansas is about to make another strong run at 5-7 unless Mallett plays alot better than at Michigan. Nutt is about to win the SEC-W and possibly bcs. If you aren't in all out panick mode yet, you will be around December.

quote:

The only 2 year to year challenges I see on the fixed schedule is Bama and LSU and he'll always have both at home the same year ever other. He's figured out how to beat Miles so I'll chalk that up as an automatic win at least every other year. So the only program really gonna be standing in their way is Bama but how much longer does Bama own that series? That's a game that will likely start going to the home team. Besides, how long does Saban stay and what type of drop off do we see when he bolts again and the next Mike Shula is hired? We've already seen where you don't have to win the SECCG to make the Sugar bowl. Yea, they are gonna go to a Sugar bowl or maybe the NC pretty soon.

quote:

that is pretty close but with a new QB and 3 new linemen you can't expect 7-1. I'd say 6-2. Ole Miss wins the west and if they stay healthy and their front 7 does what I think they will they'll beat florida, something Bama couldn't do. I can't see OM losing to SC. I could see them losing to one of Bama or LSU and TN will be a scarey game b/c they'll suck but they'll come in motivated at a time when they can play spoiler and they might be overlooked. Every year someone in the top 25 almost always loses a game they shouldn't and that is a possibility.

I don't see Arkansas a 7-5 team, rather 5-7. They aren't blocking anybody, aren't running the ball well, and can't stop the run and can't keep tailbacks healthy. Their QB was pitiful as a big10 QB before he transfered. He's dumb as a rock, slow as mollasses at 5.2, likes to party and likes the bottle. The other QB is a poor man's mitch mustain who flourished in a highschool system. The same mitch that gets picked every 10 or so pass attempts.

I can't see Auburn being quite that bad although it was satisfy me if they are b/c I don't like Malzhan. I can see 1-7 for them but I'm going with 2-6.

quote:

Gus is very overrated. The only reason Arkansas played such close SEC games in 06 was b/c Nutt was letting him have full reign of the offense. When Nutt figured out he needed to take back the offense we started winning by larger margin.

Gus can not develop a pro-style QB which you have to be able to do in the SEC to survive. He is a gimmick highschool spread coach and that won't work very long if at all at this level.

quote:

Based on the last 3 years conference winning percentage compared to the competition within conference with all resources and geographical recruiting bases considered you would have to rank SEC coaches like this.

6. Miles

5. Brooks

4. Meyer

3. Saban

2. Johnson

1. Nutt

quote:

Chances to win west:
ole Miss 65
Bama 20
lsu 15

everyone else, 0

quote:

Nutt has been the best overacheiver the best doing more with less relative to the recruiting base plus tradition plus resources divided by wins that this conference has ever had. I think he's proababaly just as good as Bear Bryant was

quote:

I think ole miss has a better defense than alabama

quote:

you know another thing that is funny about putting Meyer ahead of saban? Meyer still has not figured out how to stop the wildcat, and it's really not that hard. the Wild cat is what beat him this year and almost beat him with an undertalented team in 06 sec title game. Saban has stopped the wild cat fairly easily so far. It's funny to read you guys comparing the coaches. You have no idea and it's funny.

There is far more where that came from, but most of his posts are like sixty pages long. Takes a while to sift through it for those quotes that we all love so much.

I've got to go back and see that Tennessee alters name, because you make some great ones.

But with the wildrebeltime account being unbanned, why do you feel the need to do this?

Ross, you sound like you are obsessed with this guy. Do you know him or something? That thread must have taken you all morning to put together.

That's amazing. Is he an Ole Miss fan?

More like three minutes. It's not hard to go to someone's post history and do a little bit of copy and paste.
