Jackson will dress and play tomorrow. No further punishment necessary for JJ. Wonder if he took him to Red Lobster and bought him dessert too.

all charges were dropped, what would you do if you were coach?
Posted on 11/24/09 at 12:12 pm to TT9
suspend the shite out of him...he shouldn't play another game this year...
That's two problems in 2 weeks...
Saban wouldn't play him...Petrino wouldn't...
most others would though

Pretty sure being out that late violated team rules. Not to mention he also failed a drug test. His arse would sit the rest of the year if I were his coach.
Just sayin' tuk fans can no longer run that pie hole about anything any other coaches do with regard to discipline.

didnt he fail a drug test? was he suspended at all for that?

Why were the charged dropped on him and not the others? How do they know that he wasn't just as involved as the other two? Maybe because he is the most valuable of the three? I think some strings were pulled.

charges dropped doesn't mean innocent. Just not enough evidence. Just a thought.

In america not enough evidence means innocent.
And if you don't know the facts of the case, please don't post.

You're biased. You have no credibility in this thread. STFU.

I call bullshite on saying what other coaches would or wouldn't do. You can only assume. Fwiw I would have him sit the rest of the year.

I wouldn't have played him the rest of the year because he should not have been out that late with two strikes already against him.

Maybe Juwan Simpson and Mike Shula bought him an ice cream cone.

Kiffin lost all credibility. He can never say he keeps a well disciplined team again. Even if Jackson had no knowledge of the robbery. He was still out past curfew with criminals in a vehicle with drugs while just coming off suspension for failing a drug test. He should at least be suspended the rest of the season.

Pretty sure there isn't a team curfew during the middle of the week. For what it's worth, I don't think he should've seen the field again until the spring game.

I'm glad to see some UT fans have some sense.
Yes, his is innocent of charges, but he has other issues too.
Treating this guy like LSU's RP may not work in the long run. My bet is he will get into more trouble in the next year.
Little kiffy should have been tougher on him for JJ's own good...and his team's good too.

The ignorance on this board about this situation is incredible. I love how holier than thou ya'll are as well.
I guess you really are guilty until proven innocent in this country these days.

Just thought he wasn't prosecuted. Doesn't necessarily mean he's innocent.

The facts in this case are as follows:
1) JJ has been disciplined for failing a drug test.
2) JJ has subsequently been charged in a FELONy case where drugs were again involved.
3) Although everyone else charged in that same case has major criminal and/or disciplinary actions pending, JJ has none.
4) JJ will play this weekend.
I know all I need to know. Your coach is not even smart enough to keep JJ out for the final game of the year. He could perhaps let him play in the bowl game a month from now without causing much of a stir. Your coach recruited an admited rapist on the team. Your coach is not mature enough to run a major college program. Your University has sold it's soul for the sake of football victories. Sad, very sad.
