Considering last season's disaster and this season's lack of shine... and considering how the majority of LSU fans here are reacting....

Who is going to step up and be Bama's competition for SEC west? Auburn? Arkansas? Ole Miss? LSU?

I'd say each school has a very valid argument as to why THEY'LL be competing with us.

My prediction, Arkansas.

Arkansas, easily.

LSU looks to be on a steady decline, and Ole Miss always sucks arse.

Lsu will remain the toughest competition. Ole Miss will have a drop off in talent. Lsu still has tons of talent. Arkansas will be good offensively, but Petrino has never been known to have defenses. Because of this, I don't see them winning the west while Bama and Lsu has the talent and defenses that they have. Defense still wins championships.

All of the above they will all be better teams next year. The west is going to suck as far as how difficult it will be to win unscathed

LSU will still be tough but that remains to be seen with their staff changes next year, program is obviously going backwards.

Arkansas just needs a solid defense it has the offense.

Auburn replacing a lot of key experience at QB and RB but a lot of seniors next year particularly on the offensive line, the defense will have talented depth and mostly juniors and seniors in starting positions.

Ole Miss is losing some this year but Oregon had that team loaded with underrated talent. The question is can Nutt get out of the way to allow his passing game to develop this has always been his problem.

MSU is on the rise but needs a lot of help in the recruiting department.

Does Alabama reload or rebuild next year?

I say this simply because LSU looks better on both sides of the ball next year, besides maybe the O-Line (ffuuucckkk)

I'm Going with Arky Also.
They almost pulled off a major upset in the Swamp. Petrino has got 'em going. Mallett is going to be even better in 2010.

Petrino is one of the best QB coaches in the SEC if not the best. Nutt has forced more QBs to regress than any other coach in the SEC. YOu may see the occassional slump but nothing like what Snead faced this year.

I'd say Bama will be down next year its defense loses several key pieces and it will be much softer also the offense is still growing and should not be at this point in the season.

Auburn has a very good chance but we still have some question marks.

Arkansas has a good chance as well softer season but again the defense must be consistent.

A little bit of both, imo. Most everyone that is going to have to be replaced had some backups with good quality playing time this year. The exception maybe being at DB to a degree. We won't be as good defensively, but should still be a top 15 Defense next year. Offensively, we lose Johnson and Peek. They'll be alot to replace, but we've got some good talent there too. I'm stoked that the future is looking bright for us.

Say Alabama wins Friday beats Florida and loses to Texas .......Then next year you have 1 or 2 losses ,but don't make the SECCG
Same thing happens in 2011
Will you guys still kiss Saban?
