Let me restate this again, Bama has no chance of out bidding ND for Saban if ND so desired him if you believe that you are nuts. ND could offer 8 mil per year and not blink an eye then they could add in endorsements after that. You could but UGA, Bama, UF, and AU all together and all of those alumns couldn't out bid ND if they tried. If ND wants a coach money is not the object their program has more profit than any other program in all of college sports.

Your "diss" might be more effective if Alabama didn't outrank LSU academically every year by a wide margin in USNWR.
It might also be more effective if you knew how to spell "trailer;" and I'd think you would considering you were conceived in one.

If I was Notre Dame with all that money I would have Belichick as Head Coach, Saban as my Defensive Coordinator and Urban Meyer as my Offensive Coordinator.
They could probably pull this off with all that money, just pay each coach 17 million dollars a year and build them houses made of pure gold and diamonds, then they could give each one their own private Gulf Stream jet with runway and hanger at each of their homes so they can recruit without having to stay away from home for too long.
Yeah they will probably do this, with all the money they have.

25 individuals donated 37 million of the money raised for the first stadium expansion alone. similar gifts were given for upgrades to the entire athletic dept. sure those 25 individuals would have a hard time finding the money to up Sabans contract. please take your weak shite elsewhere.

What is not disclosed in the piece linked - and I have this on good authority - is that Marc Curles is included in the deal. "Marc will accompany Urban wherever he goes. Those ancillary contract incentives? Money in the bank."
Take it for what it's worth...

WTF is a "special project" that might include JUCO transfers?
I'd say that's fancy Irish Catholic talk for "we be a-lowerin' our admission standards so's we can compete nationally again."

Bama has lawyers graduate and maybe later on a few politicians. ND graduates presidents congressmen, CEOs of fortune 500 companies and so on and so forth. If you think any program in the SEC can touch their level of funding you are nuts. They can pay at a level that no SEC team could publicly do. Remember the crap Bama got for paying Saban 4 mil per year out of the gate? ND could step in pay him 8 mil per year and not even touch donations their athletic department makes 50+ mil per year profit. All other programs hope football pays for the rest of the programs and to break even at the end of the year.
I never said they would go after him, I said the opposite they'd never go after him. What I did say if they wanted him money is not a problem and Bama can't out spend them.

I know right. Most programs in the SEC the only sport that makes money is football all others lose so much cash the athletic departments hope football pays for the rest. ND has no conference dues to pay it doesn't split its bowl cash with anyone that's pure profit. Their athletic department profits like 30-50+ mil per year where as most SEC schools at the end of the year are +-3 mil each year when you look at all of the sports that are funded. This is not even counting the fact they have more billionaire alumn that nearly any other school out there.

I can't believe Bama fans think they can outspend ND.

no one said they could and no one said our athletic dept makes more. All I said is Bama would have no problem matching any amount of money ND would offer. Bama would have no problem paying Saban 10 mill a year if need be. anything above that and money would not be a factor in the decision to leave. It has nothing to do with how much money the athletic dept makes.

I hope Meyer stays in Florida FWIW. I don't want Saban to leave Bama either. LSU wants to beat the best!

Alabama is in the bottom one or two states for what? Just making up statistics to support a claim that's stupid to begin with?
And yeah, you should use spell check; ironic, though, that the people like you who need it the most are also the least likely to use it. Go back to night school and pass freshman comp and then you MIGHT be able to come back here and argue a point.

Take the money and run meyer.... Tebow is leaving nothing left to prove in the SEC.

he'd be an idiot if he wants to imo.
Why? He's accomplished everything a coach wants to accomplish at a University. The challenge is gone with winning two/three championships and the expectations will be rediculous going forward. With Tebow gone next year, maybe he sees the writing on the wall.
A coach like Urban only has the challenge of building a program and seeing how much money he can make left. At ND it looks like he can do both.

Saban is catholic.
That being said I hope top notch coaches realize the pay check is much bigger than the talent pool at Notre Dame, not to mention the winters suck.
For the record I don't want Meyer leaving for ND, but if it was between Saban and Meyer I would imagine Alabama boosters would pay part of Meyer's contract for ND to take him over our guy.
