If Arkansas plays the A&M team that showed up to play Texas, Arky might have been the team scraping it out in the 4th quarter, if not getting straight up beat.

Bad example.

wut? Arkansas has the worst defense in the SEC and we controlled Texas A&M the whole game, except for one blown coverage.

We're talking about the best team in the B12 vs the worst defense in the SEC.

I don't how this is a bad example of the differences between the SEC and B12.

Bad logic. If... If... If...

I think he means taking a single common opponent and making absolute comparisons if illogical. Anything can happen in a given game - I didn't see the A&M/Ark game, but maybe A&M played their worst game of the year? I watched them play UT, and I guarantee you that team played a hell of a lot better than they did against y'all, or y'all would've gotten smoked.

Point is, you need several common opponents to make a fair estimate as to what would happen. For example, Bama and Florida have 6 common SEC opponents, so it is much more accurate to use those common games to judge what will happen. (though I think the results were pretty even)
