That would have been an INT in the NFL.

Yes. We also think that it wouldn't have mattered because LSU's offense was being run by Jarrett Lee without Charles Scott, and managed only 9 yards total in the 4th quarter.

most do - there will be the few that will argue to the death that it was the right call though

yes and we have all conceded that, but it did not lose the game for them no more than the GA call lost it for GA.

Probably right! But LSU should have been given the chance none the less.

that's what made it so disheartening though

it tough our chance to make a comeback away - regardless of how we inept we had been on offense in the 4th

Yes, it was obvious.

This is the sec, the officials are bound to bend you over at some point. This week was yours.
Ours could be next. just part of it until we get that cock sucker slive(just sounds slimy) out.

Yea, it didn't decide the game but I'd much rather have the ball with 6 min down by 6 than 3 min down by 9...

that's my issue. Alabama fans keep saying it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter.....

Maybe so, but rather than getting that CHANCE, the refs take it away from them. That is the main issue I have with it.

Would have liked to see us get the chance down 6 with 6 minutes to go. I think this Ridley kid is going to tear it up if he gets a chance. Scott being out would have hurt, but 6 points down with 6 minutes gives you the possibility of running a normal offense. 9 points down with 3 minutes to go does not.

Ah well, can't change shite now.

I also think Bama could have stuck it in the endzone again instead of taking a knee with about 2 minutes left to go.

Yes, but it should be allowed to be played out - you never know what might happen. THis way, if LSU still didn't score, your defense would get all the credit instead of the corrupt officiating.

+10000000000

To all those idiots that have been crying for Lee to play all season, I hope you now realize that he isn't even good enough to start for Southeastern LA.

I think the bottom line is that the wrong call was made on the FIELD, because the play happened so quickly. When the replay officials sat down and looked at the replays, there was nothing there that they could use to overturn the call, because ALL of the camera angles sucked and left at least a little doubt as to whether or not he had possession with a foot in bounds.

I maintain that if the play had been called an INT on the field, it would have been upheld.
