Mullen has them competing with LSU, GT, and now Florida with basically all of Croom's guys and no QB. Give him a few years and a QB and they'll be contending in the west. I also wouldn't rule out a big upset this year.

Where's Wayne Madkin, Jackie, Smoot, and Pig when you need them? The Cheating days couldn't get Miss. St. to a SEC Champ. How is Mullen?

I don't know man. Without those two pick-6s the game wouldn't even have been close. I'm not sure that counts as "Mullen having them competing"
But, only time will tell.

I'm pretty sure they at least got to one in the 90s, but to answer you, Mullen is an excellent coach.

yeah, we were in Atlanta for the SEC championship in 98.

They never won the SEC in the 90's. They won a division but never won the championship.

What does it matter anyway? IN CFB coaches turn programs around all the time.

Miss St. thought Croom had it turned arond after going to Memphis also. I am just saying that they do not have the resources to win consistently in SECFB.

Mullen is competing with elite teams on a consistent basis, all the while having good recruiting classes. There is nothing NOT to like about him.
Another thing I think is great about Mullen and this team is that they never quit. They're always scoring that late TD or FG to make it a game.

We heard the same thing the last time MSU upset UF in Starkville

Yeah, there just might be a slight difference in an 8-4 Zook team and the #1 team in the county. Just maybe.

Absolutely Not. They just do not have the recruiting power. Your stuck between Alabama and Ole Miss, and LSU is right next door. Plus Starkville is, well Starkville

Because Gainsville, Tuscaloosa, and Oxford are happening places.
Mullen has had no problems recruiting, he's getting the best of the Mississippi talent to Starkville. But keep on with your misconceptions.

Yeah but Mississippi talent isn't even close to Louisiana talent, or Alabama talent, or Florida talent. Hell, most Mississippi talent can't even pass their classes thanks to your public school system

Mississippi has enough talent to spread around to three major D1 programs and has the most NFL players per capita in the nation. But keep on, this is entertaining.
