Yeah but Mississippi talent isn't even close to Louisiana talent, or Alabama talent, or Florida talent.

The Ga TECH wasn't close was it? I mean yeah y'all kept it close with UF for a single half, but yall never scored one offensive TD. Either way perhaps ol mulley can turn it around but I think everyone is going to be in Bama's shadow.

GA Tech was certainly no blowout, it was looking like it would be but State came back and made it interesting.

So basically I've gotten the same two counters to my OP:

1. Starkville
2. Miss doesn't have talent

1. Is irrelevant because nearly every SEC town outside of Athens and Nashville absolutely blows.

2. Well...it's just laughable.

Mississippi is at the bottom of the barrel in almost every statistical category, unemployment rate, education, firearm deaths per capita, literacy, and income per capita.

Now why would anyone want to go play football there?

Check it out for yourself

Because, as the statistics show, Mississippi sucks. Most of recruiting is how the school markets itself to the players and the fact that its in Mississippi is what hurts you. Plus Tuscaloosa being so close doesn't help either.

those states all have larger pools of talent. i never said state will be racking up NCs left and right, in a few years they'll be contending in the West though.

ALA is 48th and LA is 49th, by your logic they should be hurting as well. But you're some clueless bandwagon dipshit from Boston so who gives a shite about facts and this thing called logic.

Yes, when they do not decide to go to Bama, Aub, or LSU.

You do know MS has the highest rate per capita of NFL players.
