It was a bad call. But who is to say UF doesn't score anyway?

Very next play the guy could have ran all the way to Tampa. That's what.

Good thing it was first and goal.

why are you arguing this point?
BAMA is the best team in the nation without a doubt

So, you don't mind that Auburn was left out of the championship game even though they were 13-0 that one year right?
Cause, who's to say they woulda beat USC anyway?

Are we sure that the flag was not for taunting? The Ark player appears to walk over and point down at the Fla player. If not, it was one of the worst calls that I've seen.

Thats what I thought at first but if that was the case it would have been called unsportmanlike/taunting instead of personal foul.

Based only on the evidence of that video, it is an absolute BS call.
More and more I think Bama should be #1 right now, and they will dismantle the Gators in the SECCG, should both teams end up there.

amazingly bad call, honestly, maybe the worst ive ever seen
also, what about the phantom PI in the endzone on arkansas, the no call on cooper for obvious offensive PI, and the gift spot for a first down for tebow?
id be quite angry at the way the end of that game was called if im an arkie fan

Wasn't phantom

Not obvious and probably a good no call

When was this?
I've got the game video and editing out the plays to upload to Youtube. I'd like to add this "bad spot" to the list.

Will do. I'm compiling some of the controversial calls/plays from yesterday. Anyone have a link to the ND/SC video?

I might give you the no-call on the OPI, but explain why you think the DPI call was correct?

Tebow was a yard short of the first down when he ran for it on the last drive of the game. Refs spotted it with the wrong foot and gave him the first by a nose. I remember it well.
Gotta say though, glad UF won.
Maybe all these calls are to get LSU into the seccg.

I'm not saying it was correct or incorrect. The only decent camera angle is still not that great (behind the receiver and defender). However, to say it's a "phantom call" is bullshite.
What we can see:
The DB was playing the man, not the ball. By the time the DB turned to pick up the flight, the receiver was already attempting to make a play for the ball. The defender impeded his opportunity to receive a catchable pass. Receiver's reach for the ball probably triggered the flag. Had he not done that, I'd lay odds it would have been a no call.
Close call?.... you bet.

Thanks, I'll add it to the edit list. I don't mind spending time grabbing video and editing out plays, just don't want to search a 3 hour game.
If anyone has a play, knows about when it occurred, and wants it YouTubed, I'll do my best to make it happen.

I know the ref who made the pass interference call personally. I can tell you after refereeing with him for many games that this is exactly what he was thinking.
On the unsportsmanlike conduct call, notice that it happened right in front of the Umpire and he gave it a good look......no call. The flag came from the referee still back behind the line of scrimmage. I don't know why this was called in that way, it's just an observation.
