It's taken me a while to get on here and post about the game this weekend. That's mainly because I only scored one day off of work to make the trip. For those that don't know, I live and work a little south of Baton Rouge. So this leads to me getting to Oxford about 3:45 on Saturday morning for the game. That's just the start.

Anyway, Elisha and I hit the Grove around 11 in the morning, because he's too poor to have a tent and apparently no one wants him at their tent. It was more the Grove was so packed it was impossible to find anyone. It was like trying to navigate at Mardi Gras roaming around the Grove this past weekend. The energy was incredible. A long suffering fan base had hope for the first time in years, and damn it if they weren't going to make the most of it. I end up downing some Maker's to kill my nerves and get me in the right state of mind to yell myself stupid. Stuff worked like a charm.

You know though, for fans so excited for the game, it would be nice if they got off their asses and yelled. The students were into it like I've never witnessed at an Ole Miss game. Jumping up and down, yelling on first and second down even. The students did their part to support the Rebels, the old people did not. frick the blue hairs. We may have a HS stadium, but if everyone in that stadium behaved like a drunk 20-something, it'd be a very tough place to play.

Onto the actual game. The Rebel Defense is stout. The rest of the SEC is on notice. Our undersized DBs made McElroy and the Alabama passing game work for every single play. Julio got four catches and was thrown to at least 10 times. They were throwing fades against 3'10" Marshay Green, right call to make. Our DBs just shut it down. The pass rush was everything we thought it was too. McElroy had a tough game back there. Took some licks. To his credit, he came back firing and didn't make any mistakes. Which was all he needed to do.

Jevan Snead is fricking garbage. I don't care if you just broke up with your girlfriend, you're getting paid to go to school here to play football. That means, you probably should at least look like an SEC football player. He's got the physical tools in spades, but the mental part of the game wasn't there. The playcalling was designed to help him as well. So many missed (and wide open) dump offs to the backs in the flats. Really missed passes all over the place. The reason we went -4 in turnovers against the best team in the country. Jevan...wtf happened?

That's just a basic rundown, I'll post more later or something. Alabama...congrats on the win and crushing all hope of the Rebels going to Atlanta. Right now, I'm just looking to see a pulse from the offense. So far, they've been DOA.

Yeah, that was part of the problem. We ended up in a tent behind that big catering tent that was in front of the union. If I would have known you were around, I would have brought the handle of Makers over that way.

Most schools besides LSU have this problem. If the administrations cared more about home field advantage than money, they would guarantee a ticket to every student who wanted one. I don't see why the old folks even want to come to the game if they aren't going to actually cheer.

Alabama was actually planning to move the student section up to the upper deck for this season. I'm pretty sure SGA shot it down easily, but i'm sure it will come up again. That's just pathetic.

Just ask HBT about the blue hair LSU fans that came to Starkville. They'll tell you to sit back down.

I hadn't heard about this season. I did hear they were thinking about moving it to the new south end zone upper deck next year though. I'm graduating in May so I don't have to worry about it, but if they did that there would be riots. Especially if they didn't increase the number of tickets they sell to us.

Thanks to refs. There were so many no calls on PI.

one example:

Pretty blatant right there.

Not sure what is more amazing:

1. Pass interference was not called
2. An attempt to throw into triple coverage

You don't see PI called very often when a guy has 3 defenders around him.

Triple Coverage

He probably wouldve caught it if he had not have had 2 guys literally hanging on him.

Maybe the ref didn't see it due to the sheer amount of people blocking the view, gumptard. Refs usually throw PI flags in single coverage.

In addition, PI calls are either missed or erroneously called all the time... relax.

That was just piss poor play calling. He would of only been doubled if Maze' route didn't put him 5 feet away from Julio. So instead Maze' reciever was in on the play too. Happened all day. Recievers were no more than 10 feet away from each other in the endzone.

Bama seemed to do that every time they got in the redzone. I don't remember any particular plays as a result of drinking whiskey starting at 10AM, but apparently McElwain opened his bottle even earlier than me.

I could say the same about your offensive line holding.
