Could possibly play this weekend?
Supposedly there is a rumor going around that a UA assist coach has told some HS coaches that Jerrel may get to play this weekend.
Reason being is that the NCAA suspension on Jerrel was only for four weeks. The word is either Saban extened it to six weeks or that was what Bamas recommendation was when submitting the report but the NCAA only said four games.
Jerrel has been practicing with the ones all week at will along with Nico and Tana. It may be that they are just getting him warmed up for nbext week, which is the way I originally took it. But after hearing this rumor, I'm not so sure anymore.
Guess we will find out soon enough.

He's been working some with the 1's the last few days along with Tana and Nico as well. So, he's getting reps. But, this season, he's primarily been working with the scout team. His move to the regular practice squad has only happened in the last week or so.
I would seriously doubt he gets any PT this sat.

The article talking about it was posted on tidesports, its by that guy that Alahunter always uses for his "bama stuff" practice report updates. Ill see if I can find it and link it here, on my phone so may take a bit.

He was obviously suspended indefinately until the NCAA made a ruling. That ruling came down a couple of weeks ago and the NCAA suspended him for six games, obviously going back to the beginning of the season, which makes him eligible to play against South Carolina. I've heard, and I really can't tell you how reliable it is, that after Alabama received the news, they appealed the suspension and tried to reduce it to five games to make Harris eligible this weekend. Guess we'll see Saturday, but I doubt he plays til next weekend.

That rumor along with a rumor that Bama is appealing the NCAA to take off 1 week of the 6 week suspension is floating around on BOL. Per a "source" the second rumor is said to be false, but TIFWIW. IMO he won't play and either Nico or Tana will take the position, but I would love to see Jerrel out there Sat.

Yeah I am sticking with the group that doubts Harris plays. But interesting nonetheless.

I dont know about that he has no more starts than the 2 freshman but he still has to have a better understanding of the defense than the other 2 and for sure has played more snaps.

It's been discussed on a Bama board, and the very accurate guys who always know their stuff say ignore the rumor, FWIW.
