Will saban continue the dominance in the state of Alabama or will Chiz finally start pulling some decent recruits his way this year?

Auburn has got commits from many top players in Alabama this year.

Auburn will never beat Alabama in state though. All kids grow up a fan of either Alabama or Auburn. The state is about 70/30 in favor of Alabama.

Chizik will get some good ones too. Saban's great but soon every position will have a two year waiting period for PT. Chizik will be able to offer earlier PT. Plus Chizik is a pretty good guy and it comes across in person. He should do fine. I don't think there will ever be complete parity. Being the "flagship" school in the state is an advantage. No flame intended.

We already got

LaDarius Owens
Jeremy Richardson
DJ Howard
Jake Holland
Jawara White
Kenneth Carter
Justin Delaine
Chad Slade

from in state. I bolded the ones that Rivals or Scout shows as having a Bama offer. Owens and Ricahardson are top talent.

You also have to look at the number of Auburn students that come from outside the state of Alabama and then leave the state once they graduate. I don't know a real number, but you would have to think that there are a larger percentage of Auburn grads that live in Alabama only long enough to get their education.

Because of that, you lose a large number of potential 2nd or 3rd generation kids with Auburn ties who would possibly be playing high school ball in the state of Alabama. instead they are playing high school ball in Florida, Georgia, etc.

Auburn should get a quick bump for being able to offer immediate playing time. However, Alabama is still doing an excellent job recruiting, so Auburn will have to step up to level the playing field, as Bama won't be getting worse.

Bama has always had an advantage cause about 70% of the state is Gumps. Tubs got lazy and let Saban flat out dominate. Chizik will get Auburn back to getting their share.

I thought they all moved to Huntsville after they graduate and work in Cummings Research Park. There's a TON of you guys up here.

Auburn has had a good year in state this year. They had a natural advantage on several really good players. It seems next years in state crop is more talented and leans in Alabama's favor.
