Switching most hated SEC team...

As a fan of an SEC team, I think its my duty to go for SEC teams in all OOC games. Except that I have the right to choose one SEC team to hate so much that I wish they lost all the time.
For years that team has been Bama.
This year its different. Frig off Florida!
My reasons are completely selfish, of course.
1) If Florida wins another BCS NC this year, they will have 3 this decade we will have 2. If ANY other team wins it, worst case we are tied for most NCs. If Bama wins it, we are tied only with Florida
2) One of my major reasons for hating Bama above all was that my best friend growing up was a Gump - and back then bama beat us all the time. His family were all Gumps. I got back in touch with the dude and had lunch with him a few months ago - turns out - he's an LSU fan now! (he went to LSU)
3) Florida is the media favorite now. How could I not hate them?

I will always despise Bama and Florida equally. Losing to both of them in the same season really ticked me off

If Bama or Ole Miss were to actually win a NC the world would never hear the end of it.
As far as people with multiple titles USC is in the same boat as UF. If USC wins another they will claim to have 2 1/2 and be the best.

USC only has 1 national championship this decade.

I was stating the USC argument. I personally don't respect their AP title.

You couldn't be more wrong, idiot. The AP has been around much longer than the BCS and it will exist long after the BCS has fallen apart; in the future, BCS titles will probably be less respectable than old UPI titles. Furthermore, whether you like it or not, the rest of the country knows that USC would have absolutely obliterated LSU had the two met for the national championship in '03. Instead, LSU beat an Oklahoma team by one touchdown that got railed by Kansas State just a few weeks prior.
Then of course there's LSU's 2007 national title team, the first national championship with two losses since, what, the 1960s? I think you'll see one day that your beloved 2007 team catches as much grief as the 1941 'Bama team.
In the end, it's really no contest. Though I despise them, USC is the program of the decade, and it's not even close. Seven straight Pact-10 titles, Seven straight BCS appearances, seven straight top-5 finishes in the AP poll, 1 BCS NC, 1 AP NC, and another appearance in the BCS NC game. That's not even counting 3 Heisman winners and a 34 game win streak.

The AP was a part of the BCS equation; therefore, it is worth less than the overall BCS system. A part can not be greater than the part. If the AP didn't like it to begin with they should have never allowed it. They didn't pull out until they got pissy about the system not agreeing with them.
The bottom line is the BCS takes into account the opinion of hopefully informed credible voters and an a hopefully unbiased objective ranking(computer). It is the best we will get without having a playoff; however, most people's playoff ideas aren't necessarily better than the current system.
As far as the 2007 NC the amount of losses LSU had does not matter. They were the best team that year. No other major program had less than two at the end of the year. We can make the assumption that year was more competitive top to bottom than most years. That is exactly what everyone was saying the entire damn 2007 season(fans and the media). Only people that are jealous of LSU and wanting to attack Miles want to bring it up. I don't hear everyone unanimously claiming the 2004 Auburn team the best SEC team of the decade. It is the same damn argument in regards to 2007 LSU.

Well it is a fricking opinion. If LSU would have lost to Florida before USC lost to Cal you probably wouldn't be saying this. If Auburn would have started '04 in the Top 2 they would have played for the NC. Your argument is useless because you are ignoring the luck. Obviously by the turnout of the game Oklahoma was ranked one and didn't deserve to be in the game as LSU won.

I actually like Florida and think Tebow is great. He is like the Kurt Warner of college football and I think that is a good thing.
I wish LSU were considered the team of the decade, but I think we would need to win the title this year to do it. The shitty thing is there are a handful of teams who could claim to be the top team of the decade if they win.
Oklahoma and Ohio St. could easily make a claim if they were to win the title.
If LSU finished ahead of UF this year(doubtful) they technically should be ranked ahead of UF( if they are close and neither wins the title it is also debateable). The shitty thing is there is no way USC would have had that dominance in the SEC.
