DeuceisLoose I think there is an obsession with him over the fact that he's been by far the most successful, entertaining and enthusiastic SEC coach Arkansas has had in it's short 18 year period in the SEC. When the fanbase went to all the crazy tactics to run him off they had no idea a divisional rival (with better historical SEC win %) would hire him. They thought he'd go to the sunbelt or something. It baffles me that people will say "he led the band, what an embarrasing dork" I don't understand that theory at all. Arkansas has a weak recruiting base and needs entangibles like that to help stay more competitive.

I also think if they were 100% happy in how things were going within their program now they would have no reason to diss him all the time on all the forums. The fact is, they know that on paper, recordwise, they got the best coach available to replace him and if they've been following the goings on this fall and couple that with last year, they know there seems to be serious effort issues in the defensive play. Effort was and is something Nutt is good at getting out of players particlarly african american players. Arkansas fans are also frustrated that everyone thinks their coach will leave if he ever has a winning year and logically thinking, he probabaly would.

I also think they are angry that he is recruiting some good players out of their state. Players they would of had , had he still been there. I think they are upset their 5 star recruit Michael Dyer is calling out Petrino publicly for not attempting to form a bond with him. Well, with Nutt he's getting that bond.

I also think they are angry b/c their "case" if you will, against Nutt was built in large part over a quarterback and offensive philosphy that both turned out to be a total busts 3 years later. Arkansas fans thought they built their house on a rock, but come to find out it was built on sand. It's a quick sand that is slowly sinking their house.

Right now I don't think it's as much of a hate as it is a frustration that nothing is going right on the hill and it may not for several years. If their last basketball coach STan heath went to Ole Miss, I doubt you'd hear a peep.

^^shockingly, there's not one true sentence or phrase in the above long-winded post.

haha Please elaborate on how that offensive philosophy turned out to be a total bust.

Seems to me that the three years Malzahn has been in college, every year his offense has been at or near the top of them all.

WRT:
You're more like "Nutt" than Nutt's like "Nutt"!
