When this board mocked Arkansas

Almost 4 years ago for hiring a High School offensive coordinator, and you guys mocked the hire worse than that of Cheeze-it, who thought it would impact the game as much as it did? All the way from college to the NFL.
I remember the laughs never ended.
After 2 OC of the Year awards in 3 years and offenses that have led the nation in numerous statistical categories at Arkansas and Tulsa, I don't hear the laughing?
Let's discuss the "Wildcat". The single-wing has been around for a thousand years but it was Gus's testicular fortitude to reintroduce it via the "wildcat" that set the play calling world on fire. How many NCAA teams now have this in their playbook? Half? Old Piss treats that page like the family bible. How about the NFL? Miami acts like the wheel has been reinvented and let's not pretend like Michael Vick doesn't have a job today thanks to the formation. You can't hear the guys name without it being immediately followed by "wildcat".
I look for Auburn to surprise some folks this year and it has to do with what Gus is really known for, the "hurry-up, no-huddle". Nuttzi said no to it at Arkansas but it is one of the most exciting styles of football around. Can your defense be ready to play another down within 5 seconds of the ball being spotted? All game long? Let's hope so.
And before someone says it, the "hurry-up, no-huddle" is mutually exclusive from the spread or any particular formation. It can be ran from the wishbone if need be. Its about tempo.
Anyway, just wanted to ask where the laughter went and go on the record as saying Auburn is going to surprise some folks this year on offense.

So copying the Single Wing and throwing out of it is earth shattering? I mean Franchione ran the single-wing at Bama when he first got there. People are starting to defend it better, watch how they bring the safety or Linebacker up now.

Impress as compared to what? They have no depth on the O-line and less than stellar QB play up to this point. They're making big plays in practice, but their wr's have been going against 5'5" db's.

i am always amazed at how much Pig fans still want to eat Gus' cum simply to spite Houston Nutt.

Seem to remember Gene Stallings doing this successfully with David Palmer, and even Mike Shula using Tyronne Prothro this way before Gus did.
But, they didn't invent the cool name "wildcat".

Gus is overrated. He's a good coordinator, but he's overrated.
Everybody from springdale rode in on Damian Williams' coattails.

Congrats, he "came up" with an offense that was thought up of by video gamers on Ncaa Football.

Let them talk. Its a high school offense would never work. Arkansas won't ever score a TD with it.
Just like how urban meyers offense would never work.
