I wonder if all the deliberate "attrition" ....

at Bama will somehow have an effect on recruiting. At some point, a recruit will have to wonder if he will be next to be in the position to find another option. It is clear, Saban is clearing the roster a hell of a lot sooner than should have occurred with normal rates of attrition. But, he has a very sensitive trigger finger now, and he is looking for ANY excuse to have a player move on so he can make room. Anyway, just food for thought!

I'm not sure it will have an affect on recruiting or team morale at bama, but it is further evidence of his weaselness and at some point I think that the players and recruits are going to start seeing that what he preaches and what he does are two completely different things.

Why the hell do you care so much. Until a player that is leaving says something negative, its a moot point. Recruiting hasn't been damaged at all. If anything, it keeps getting better. In the end, Coach Saban is building a program, and getting his guys in there. If attrition continues, above the normal 5-7, next offseason, then maybe there's a legitimate argument.
