So, to answer your question, not sure what there is to do, but no matter what it is you'll be doing it with a lot more people than in T-Town.

So the same things. Instead of drinking with 200,000 people in a bar, you can drink with 700,000.

Hummmmmmmmmmmm.

The OP was things to do in Baton Rouge. I see you listed none and fell back on the "Louisiana, we might be last in education, pay the highest auto insurance rates, have Governors, judges, DA, congressmen, and insurance commissioners in prison, pay some of the lowest wages in the nation, young people are flocking from here, but the food is good and we have "culture". LMFAO.

You care to list any things to do in Baton Rouge? I even stated that this was in response to the "things to do in Tuscaloosa thread".

I have been to Baton Rouge hundreds of times and hundreds and hundreds of times, and I know what their is to do there, and it is exactly the same things that their are to do in Tuscaloosa, but like someone said earlier, with more people.

Also, Baton Rouge isn't really know for its "culture" or its food. Could someone explain what they mean by this distinct culture thing please. LMAO, "distinct culture" LOL.

I would, but I'm laughing too hard at anyone trying to defend the notion that Tuscaloosa as anywhere near as much to do as Baton Rouge.

As far as Alabama making fun of Louisiana, that's classic. Jeff Foxworthy made a a career making fun of Alabamans.

Other than a few truck stopish casinos there is basically the exact same shite to do, except as I said earlier, you got a 70 mile drive to New Orleans that Baton Rouge claims as some sort of great quality for,,, Baton Rouge.

You can keep spouting the same garbage over and over but I can guarantee you nobody's buying it.

You'd have to be the biggest homer imaginable to believe Tuscaloosa has a tenth of the things to do that Baton Rouge does.

You can most certainly play texas holdem in Tuscaloosa. I have played in some really good games there. I have never played in Baton Rouge. Which truck stop casino do you play poker at in Baton Rouge. And on game day people drink everywhere in Tuscaloosa.

Name me the place in T-town where you can legally participate in a holdem game......

Secondly, T-town is unfriendly to gameday drinking by opposing teams......BR cops enjoy the party.......

Lets see what else you can do in or around BR that you can't do it T-town........

1) Eat a decent gumbo/boudin/red beans and rice
2) Watch a baseball team win a national championship
3) Catch a limit of red snapper and be home before dark

I could go on........I can't believe you actually have Cajun and Bama in your name.......it's fricking polar opposites.

Also, if you weren't aware Baton Rouge has a Pinnicale property and Riverboat casino's........not truckstop casino's as you refer to them.....

I can't its not legal. You can play in some good back room games. Name me a "good" hold em game in Baton Rouge, seriously, I will be there next weekend.

Not unfriendly if you don't act like a drunken scum bag. I have had the displeasure of some real scum bag BR cops though. No place is as liberal on alcohol consumption as Louisiana, it is no coincidence that Louisiana also has more alcoholics, drunken driving fatalities, Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and members, and the countries highest auto insurance rates.

quote:

1) Eat a decent gumbo/boudin/red beans and rice

Using the "at least we got good food argument" as something to do. (snicker)

quote:

2) Watch a baseball team win a national championship

LOL. You counting that one. LMAO.

quote:

3) Catch a limit of red snapper and be home before dark

This could be done in Tuscaloosa, but not as easily as from Baton Rouge, so I will give you that one. But using that argument you could claim what New Orleans has to offer as part of what Baton Rouge has to offer because you could be back before dark. (snicker).

I stand by my claim that you got basically the same shite to do, one place just has more people to do it with.

frick it, I really just started this thread because I was bored and hadn't been on this site to bust balls in a while.

I have explained this many times, but here goes again, half my family is from Louisiana, and the good half is from Alabama.

Why is this funny......I mean in all of Bama's rich tradition's they can't seem to pull that one together.......Your only laughing because it's a defense mechanism......

It's cool buddy, remember when yall played for the national title in the 90's...........that world series game was something to laugh at.

And watching a game at the New Alex Box blows away about 95% of what T-town can offer.....

And your mention of alcohol, pffffffttttttt......so we get drunk and party......It's gives us an edge in fan emotion, looser women, and more hospitable atmoshere as evidence by the thousands of articles implicating Tiger Stadium as the pinnicale in tailgating.......

And the better half in Bama.........your other have can't be too bright nor Cajun if they married and associated with this better half in Bama.
