So old school ND (God help me I'm defending ND) is in South Bend Indiana and has to out recruit teams like Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Penn State and others. They are located in a State that doesn't produce a great deal of D1 talent in Football, yet they have made their living out of recruiting nationally while playing against National powerhouses year in and out, while still managing to assemble some of the most impressive teams and championships in the history of football?

Tennessee has almost no D1 prospects in it's state and is a national power stealing recruits from Florida and Alabama.

And Arkansas can't make a living from stealing from LA, OK, TX, MO, recruiting nationally, and the state of AR? You should analyze your statements and apply them to other programs across the nation.

Notre dame is a totally different situation b/c it's the premier catholic private school. It's near Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, columbus, which those area's produce alot of talent. But, I think more importantly it's a catholic based private school. Alot of athletes are catholic and they can get an edge on some catholic based athletes. If LIttle Rock Catholic High had a real talent that ND was offering as was Ark, he'd probabaly be pushed there b/c that's how they do things. Also, every kid in the country grows up watching ND on channel 4 with their best commentators doing their games b/c they have a channel 4 contract, so over the years they have got the more exposure. When I was a kid I use to like Notre dame. I owned a couple ND t-shirts and a fleece and I liked wearing them alot.

They have fallen off with Weiss at the helm anyway. Ark could have beat them in a sugar bowl in 06 I think. That might be where Urban ends up.
