According to Jeffrey and Wilson, Kiffin told Jeffrey that if he chose the Gamecocks, he would end up pumping gas for the rest of his life like all the other players from that state who had gone to South Carolina.

Wasn't Jeffrey committed to USC at some point?

He comitted in June but was never really a solid commit at any point. He wanted to go to USC, but his family wanted him to stay close to home. Unlitmatly, he probably made a solid choice.

Meanwhile...

UT has the NFL Offensive player of the year and Defensive rookie of the year. When was the last time anyone from that concrete jungle did anything?

Sidney Rice pumping gas?

What about John Abraham?

Dunta Robinson?

Johnathan Joseph?

From Rice's wiki:

quote:

Rice finished his rookie season with 31 receptions for 396 yards and four touchdowns. He also completed two passes including a 79 yard pass, the longest for a non-quarterback in Vikings history.{{Fact|date=April 2008.

He is also the man.

Everyone is flabbergasted that shalervol might actually not know who Duce Staley and Sterling Sharpe are.

Sheldon Brown starting DB for Eagles. (to add to Roads list)

Andrew Pinnock was starting FB for the Chargers 2 years ago (aka lead blocked for LT) I believe he is signed with the Broncos now, along with former RB Cory Boyd.

The high school coach made a good point that these coaches will go all out because recruiting puts food on their table. But kiffin takes that shite way too far.

I dont know about if I were being recruited to play football, but as a normal prospective student who toured both UTK and South Carolina, I would choose SC in a heartbeat. Much nicer town and campus than that concrete shite hole in Knoxville.

Yeah me and my dad went up to Knoxville for the '05 SC-UT game.. the fans were nice enough but he simply described the stadium and town as "rickidy"
