Does baseball really start in February in the South?

We had 40 degree highs and 22 lows today in New Hampshire.

Baseball starts in May .

Iowa, New York, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts High Schools start on May 6th.

When do Southern teams start officially?

May 6th- September 28th.

For regionals and States.

Fruity states that dont produce good baseball.

But seriously are you really asking? Yes southern states start a lot earlier. Here in Oklahoma the HS season is March 1 thru mid-May, with scrimmages starting in Feb. Then players get on their summer team after school season for June-July.
