When Lexi and I conceived you, I said "What in the hell have we done?"
And she said "Nothing."
And she said "Nothing."

How that movie bombed is beyond me, I loved it!
Slim Pickens was just a bonus.

Couldn’t agree more!!
I saw it three times, 1st run, in the theater. To say I loved it is an understatement.
Dan Akroyd, John Belushi, John Candy, Ned Beatty, Tim Matheson, Christopher Lee, Slim Pickens, Robert Stack, Mickey Rourke, and plenty of other recognizable actors/actress among an amazing cast.
I could easily sit down today and enjoy every single moment of 1941 beginning to end, even though I’ve seen it dozens of times over the years

My 2 favorite Spielberg of the many he created both involved World War II
1941 from 1979
Empire of the Sun from 1987
With this guy in the starring role (and an equally impressive cast)
