I think the SEC has become the standard for college baseball, especially since the 1990's when UGA became one of the first teams besides LSU to win the CWS.
Since then, FL, S. Carolina, Vandy, MS State, OhMiss and UT have all become CWS Champs.
So I think you could argue that - along with still being the top football conference - we are also tops in baseball.

As good as the SEC is in baseball they are better in softball. Just look at the rankings.

Florida, Arkansas, (edit: Kentucky), and in the past Auburn are/were basketball schools.
Vandy, LSU, and the Mississippi schools are baseball schools.
Texas too, but they are more of a football school. LSU might also be a football school but it’s pretty neck and neck.
Tennessee could be becoming a basketball school.
The rest are all football schools.

TCU is a baseball school.
OU hasn’t won a natty in football in over 25 years.
TCU and Texas have both played in a more recent national championship and Texas has won 1 more recently. They have also managed to win a playoff game before.
