Will be AJs 1st game as a professional head coach. I heard an interview this morning on fox news with him. He doesn't seem to have the same mindset Saban had

I typically watch every Stallions game. We’re in the Sweet 16 tonight though so that’s going to take up a majority of eyes.

So what is his mindset and how is it different from Nick Saban? Care to elaborate?

Nick Saban doesn’t have a tattoo of Jesus on his chest for one. (As far as I know)

Skip Holtz was removed from the Stallions head coaching position in favor of A. J. McCarron on December 16, 2025, in apparent protest of incoming owner Mike Repole's plan to void all of the league's rosters and force all eight teams to start over in a dispersal draft.

How is it I'm just now hearing about this?

I remember when they announced McCarron, but I guess I assumed Holtz had retired.

Yeah. Rapole has been an interesting figure in the new league. He seemingly wants local tie in to each team to draw fans.

It sucks because Holtz had been great in Birmingham and obviously wants his guys. Birmingham still has the most talented team on paper. We’ll see how it plays out.

Just seemed more relaxed during the interview, seems like a players coach.

Think I'm going to flip back and forth. There was a couple upsets last night so anything is possible as far as a winning goes.

Well, he's like 1 year removed from BEING a player so that's understandable lol.

Right? Lol plus obviously I'm not in the locker room so who knows how he is behind the scenes. Either way I hope he does good

The team is trying to get a local name to attract people to come watch the game or they were moving the team out of Bham. Holtz was doing a great job but the UFL people made the switch.

Watched the 4th quarter. It was a good game.

The kicker couldn't kick a cat in the arse.

There is various reasons these players are on a 'minor' league team and not the pros.

I had thought Skip bowed out due to his father's impending death. I didn't realize he was forced out.

I've followed the USFL/UFL for the Stallions as I remember the team from the original USFL. There were rumors that the Stallions might get moved. I'd completely lose interest in the league if that happened.

I don’t think I can watch UFL if they are going to overturn good defensive plays like that. Just terrible overturn

I think they've already decided they're leaving but probably have a contract with the BJCC through this season. Firing Skip was probably a move to tank the program here so it is easier to make the move.
