College sports are a wild thing; fired then rehired.
But you cannot blame LSU fans for being excited. Their football and basketball programs have woefully underperformed recently. Kiffin and Wade, if nothing else, bring in new excitement. I don’t blame them for being excited. I blame them for treating Kiffin and Wade like championship coaches when one doesn’t have a playoff win and the other hasn’t advanced to the elite eight.
Good coaches - lack of results to defend treating them like elite coaches.
