It was hard on LSU fans to watch McNeese State ascend past them in basketball the last few years. Seeing McNeese do the same in baseball this season was more than they could handle. They are in the midst of a psychotic break. In their minds they didn’t just finish 7-6 and unranked in football, 15-17 and unranked in basketball, and aren’t currently 17-9, unranked, and 12th in the SEC in baseball. Seeing the success at McNeese has caused them to react the same way they did when they saw Missouri and Ole Miss eclipse them - throwing obscene amounts of Cane’s money at their coaches.
