this is God damn embarrassing.

Single most embarrassing Coaching performance in UGA all sport history, now including Club level and intramural teams.

At this point, I don't think there's much left to be said that couldn't be said in season thread.

Oh no, it needs to be said where ever. Worst coaching job in the history of UGA in all sports, all time.

He made up for it, though, by the completely clueless first half.

His complete gameplan was garbage from the start. I watched all but two games this year and we never played small ball once. I dont remember us ever having 3 guards on the floor at the same time. Also why were we in defense where Cyril, Stagg, Abson or James were consistently as far out as the top of the key while all 3 guards were in the paint and under the basket. want to know why we got out rebounded and they broke a record for points in the paint? Because that is where all three of our guards were on defense. A bunch of guys 5'11 and 6'1 just getting absolutely destroyed in the paint. It was like watching a hs team play a 12 and under team. This team has talent and athleticism. Unfortunately, we are probably stuck with White and Wilkinson, Cyril, Catchings, Stagg are all ging to transfer. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Cain and Wilkins are the only ones to return and there is a complete team turnover next year. After this we are not going to draw any good transfers. It is a really bad look when you are on the national stage and your entire team looks completely lost and you are down by 40 points to a team that is average.

I was pissed last night but now I am just sad. The above is so true. All the good and potential evaporated in a single night

I'm struggling to come up with a comp. Saw some mention the 2015 Bama game but 2015 Bama is not comparable to a St. louis team that limped into the tournament.

Almost losing to that Podunk team from LA in 2016 was pretty bad but we still won.

Florida dropping 50 in athens was bad, but again they were just way better than us back then.

When taking into account the quality of opponent, expectations, effort level of the georgia team, and just general lack of competitiveness I don't know.

2015 Florida maybe...I would still say this is way worse though

That was ugly, it was officially a ‘beat like a red headed step child’ beating.

There are dozens of examples between richt, fox, and stricklin. I know everyone these days is reactionary as all hell and hyperbole rules so anything is the best of all time or literally the worst that's ever existed in the immediate aftermath, but I mean come on.

Not excusing yesterday by any means by the way. It was so horrendous I don't really even want to devote any mental energy to thinking about it anymore. But threads like this are just so so stupid

You are and always have been a moron, St Louis, a mid major drops 100 on is, dang near double us up at one point.

Losses against SEC peers don't come close to this loss.

Worst coaching job in the history of UGA sports programs all time, all sports.

There have been more extreme blowouts and losses to teams we should have beat but I can't remember a game where we had the combination of both at such an extreme level ALONG with low effort from the UGA team.

I mean they looked like they didn't give a frick. It was crazy

Trying to compare a close win in Kirby's first year, or Goff Versus Steve Spurrier, or even Richt vs Saban isn't the same as being an 8 seed and getting completely run off the court by a mid major. I would have expected Michigan as a one seed to run us off the court but not St Louis.

Heck, we could have lost a competitive game with St Louis and it have been a good year making the tourney but last night was inexcusable.

St Louis baited them into this by putting that fat white guy on the perimeter and Georgia fell for it every single fricking time

I agree this was a terrible loss and horrendous coaching performance but we had Anthony Edwards on our team and Crean had a 16-16 record

It’s just basketball. It’s not like it’s an important sport.

Were these coaches in the game down by 40 to a midmajor? There are dozens of examples between the three, so I’m curious which games you’re referring to.

Odd take considering there’s a large basketball thread, as well as countless other individual threads, about this shitty performance. I don’t remember the last time I saw a WBB thread on here, but they’re sure as heck more competitive than the men’s team, respectively.
