Pearl had the best game plan against us of anyone we played.

Probably the only team all year to out effort us.

Keyshawn Hall looked like a 1st team All American.

How on earth did they collapse so hard?

Cause Steven Pearl sucks and took a lock of a 6-9 seed to,the basement of the SEC with shitty defensive fundamentals and a lockeroom with zero discipline including the head coach. Steven had a tech vs Vandy and today vs UT whe the game was still winnable in clutch time. He also watched them blow an 18 pint lead at home to AM in a matter of 90 seconds.

If Florida played Auburn again, they’d beat them by 20+

7 man rotation and playing a walk on at point at times. We are undersized and not super talented outside of Hall and Pettiford. Hall fell off the second half of the season when he quit getting a friendly whistle. Hall is also a bit of head case and locker room issue.

I think we played above our heads for most of the season. Teams adjusted on how to take Hall away. We also don’t have any true three point threats.

The scouting report got out on Hall. Lot of the FT opportunities died.

Once players see how bad they can suck sometimes they dont bounce back.

They seem to be pretty stagnant in the half court offense.

Tennessee plays good enough defense to prevent fast break scoring opportunities.

Thus the result.

Arkansas can struggle in the half court at times, but there are enough guys that can shoot the ball to make up for it.

No big man in the paint! We needed a player the size of Broome to provide presence, and we were woefully undersized against quality opponents. Our two Final Four teams have both centers playing in the NBA right now. If AU just had a center that was 50% of Broome, this would have been a whole other story this season.

I think Auburn was playing over their heads early. Won some big games and expectations went through the roof. Then the reality of the schedule, the roster, first year coach caught up with them. I also think there are some locker room problems. I’m not ready to write Pearl off, will be interesting to see what changes are made next year.
