We just hired the OL coach that Bama just fired in an analyst role.

Revenge tour?

quote:

Chris Kapilovic, who was fired at Alabama on Jan. 23, will be an analyst at Auburn this coming season, the program announced Friday. He will be assisting first-year offensive line coach Tyler Hudanick, who came over with Alex Golesh from USF.

Kapilovic spent the past two seasons as Alabama's offensive line coach, following stops at Michigan State, Colorado, North Carolina and Southern Miss. Kapilovic also has experience in the state from his time as Alabama State's offensive coordinator from 2003-05.

Can’t hurt to have another guy with connections to the state.

Dude just isn’t a very good coach. Very solid recruiter though. This is a good position for him to be to help out recruiting hopefully.

Don't know anything about him but Bama OL was terrible last year. Maybe we'll ask him what to do then do the opposite. I like this out of the box thinking from Golesh.

I’m more curious about what Coach Hootie will do than any other assistant coach. Seems awfully young for a gig like that. I trust Golesh knows something.

It was, but I think a lot of that is due to the way Deboer's system works on offense

Yea, from what i've seen from when Bama hired him, his previous stops the fans credited him for being a very solid recruiter, but lamented how well he did as a coach. Michigan State fans were shocked Alabama hired him and were very happy they hired him away. Analyst role should be a good spot for him.
