I love that Silverfield has made sure the roster is updated on ArkansasRazorbacks.com including incoming high school kids.
I'm pretty sure I don't ever remember Sam giving a crap enough to make sure that happened by spring practice. You put an assistant on it and make sure the website people do their job.
New players and their parents and grandparents then don't have to sit around and wait to feel a sense of belonging.

so if you're OL or DL and you're wearing the knee braces especially, I still don't get these kids not wearing knee pads.
you got the brace on anyway, and you still think it's "slowing you down" or something to have a protection of your literal knee CAP?

I guess it's the bulkiness of the pads we had back in the 80s/90s when I played youth football up to high school, but it seems like players looked at lot larger then. And players weren't allowed to choose whether they wore pads or not--they were all required. And whatever happened to neck roll pads?

He seems to be doing everything at a high standard. That should pay off given time.

Time will tell. I do like his approach, energy and attention to detail. Frankly Bert and Pittman would’ve worked out better had they not been so lackadaisical. I don’t think he has some insurmountable hill to climb to have success here.

I didn’t know sategna was first team all sec this year at Oklahoma. Just another example of the talent level we’ve had here over the years that’s been absolutely wasted.

We have squandered a lot to be honest.
To be fair, we hired Pittman to do an emergency rebuild, which he pulled off, and kept him too long. We needed some new blood in the program.
Whether Silverfield is the guy long term we will see. Particularly with another "oh f*ck me" schedule coming up. But we need some fresh eyes on the program at this point.
