After being drafted 4th overall by the New England Patriots in the 2025 NFL Draft, offensive tackle Will Campbell went viral for his passionate commitment to protecting quarterback Drake Maye. On the draft stage, an emotional Campbell declared, "I'm gonna fight and die to protect them with everything I've got".

He had probably an all time terrible individual performance in a SB. Feel bad for him he is a good Tiger.

He had no shot whatsoever for the ball.

This is exactly why this LSU player sucked just the same way when he was at LSU trying to protect his quarterback.

Again, you slap dicks are acting like LSU fans didn’t know this about Campbell.

Well this isn't true at all.

2024 Consensus All-America, 2024 SEC Jacobs Blocking Trophy (top SEC blocker), and multiple First-Team All-SEC selections. A three-year starter, he was a 2022 Freshman All-American and a 2023 Joe Moore Award finalist, allowing only five sacks in his college career.

Campbell allowed 4 sacks in 3 years starting at LT at LSU

Almost 1,600 pass blocking snaps

In his sophomore year he allowed 0 sacks all season long

WildcatGump thinks he's on a roll for some reason here, but pretty much the dumbest argument in the OP for Campbell's bad performance last night

Imagine being so deep in the weeds of your LSU obsession that you’re posting about Will fricking Campbell all night during the Super Bowl.

Ae y'all saying the NFL and Patriots couldn't see this before the Super Bowl? They drafted the guy and paid him big bucks......

Why? The ball was already recovered.

edit - just rewatched it again...

By the time he noticed the ball was out, it was being recovered...

I guess diving for it would have changed the optics, but it wouldn't have changed the outcome of the recovery.
