LSU is too poor. No one wants to coach there. Why would they want to coach there after we fired Orgeron and BK too soon according to the board that also says that BK underachieved. I haven't quite figured out how that works just yet though.

Everyone is learning from Nick Saban’s biggest regret in life.

You just don’t leave LSU

This is about Weiss, not the heaux? Weiss is a moron for turning down the pros to be a tagalong at LSU. Then again, it is Louisiana. Not the smartest people there.

I do enjoy watching so much of the Rant twist itself upon itself to make up something, anything, to make themselves feel better about what LSU is putting together. You all know what’s coming, but you sure are trying to make yourselves feel better about it.

Typical response from a fan of the fighting meat ticklers of college station.

Louisiana is a garbage state. I think one of the worst to live?. LSU is in a dangerous craphole of a town - perfect for those LA athletes from the slums. Those are facts, not opinions. It’s the rich, and those with their hand out throughout the state. Perfect for a guy with zero morals like Lane Kiffin.

I’m happy for the LSU fans.

Why? He'll likely be a college head coach in a year or two, if he continues on his current trajectory.

Why take any risk with that?

Because NFL coaches actually have a life. They work, but don’t have to put up with kids with their hands out, the portal, and an ever changing roster.

Then again, maybe he doesn’t have a family?

Your jealousy and uncontrollable rage is quite impressive. How do you react in real life situations?

He's like 32, the dude's in grind mode trying to set himself up.

If he jumps to the NFL, he may be waiting for a HC position for 5 years or more. And that's if he doesn't get fired after a year or two, like Joe Brady and Ryan Grubb.

His job at LSU is relatively secure, for the time being, he already knows Lane and a good portion of the staff, and his contract guarantees him to be the highest paid SEC OC for the next three years.

That's a no brainer.

Jealousy? Why would I be jealous of anyone that willingly lives in Louisiana? Not remotely. Somebody has to

Like I said, if he is single it makes sense. He doesn’t need to come home in evening. Every CFB coach that isn’t a scumbag is looking for a way out. Expect Kirby to retire in the next five years. Sark will be gone before then. Ryan Day is avidly looking for an NFL position. The problem is that the NFL doesn’t want these coaches so they have to collect a paycheck as long as they can.

I don't believe this is true at all. I think most are just trying to hold on until some of the issues are fixed. We're already seeing front office staff take on more of the roster-building and retention tasks that the coaches historically handled, similar to more of a pro model.

Like I said, you should read some of the statements of the best coaches. Kirby talks about zero break due to recruiting and NIL. Sark is actively looking for a job as is Ryan Day.

The problem is that few NFL teams are willing to take a chance on college coaches due to failures like Saban, Kiffin, etc. It is a different skill set and few can make the transition effectively. And yes, Kiffin is considered by many Raiders media to be among the worst mistakes the franchise has ever made.

Lucky for LSU.
