Doesn't seem like a useful plan. Teams from other conferences would ignore SEC rules. Even some SEC schools will openly ignore the rules, and dare the rest to do anything about it. We have precedent demonstrating that's a fact. Any attempt to go back toward "college football", with actual student athletes and some semblance of organization, will require tearing the conferences apart and letting the anarchists create their own separate NFL farm league. This version is too far gone.

I think you have stated the right of it.
Frankly, I would rather support a UGA team that is less talented and yes, less paid, who are actually student athletes who want to be at the University of Georgia.

So like the '90s on steroids, when the administration was cheap and raised the admissions standards for football players?

Something way worse than the '90s and I would find a new hobby. That sounds awful.

I haven't heard anyone mention this, but I could see a future where the "Varsity" team is the pay for play team, and a school would have a "Junior Varsity" team that is the old school rules. Actual student athletes, with a small stipend, but none of this big money stuff.

Something else that could "fix" this, is if the NFL changed their draft rule to the NBA rule, allow 1 and done, which was unthinkable several years ago, that would be thought of to be the end of CFB, but in today's landscape, it might be something that could fix it. Hot Take, off the top of my head. Someone will be sure to own me and make me look dumb for my take, but what else do we have to talk about at this point in the off-season?

JV was fun at UGA. I’d love to see a club team similar to how they do other sports.

I would only go to any of the games if someone gave me an entire luxury box.
