Everyone in the SEC was right. The BCS was much better.

These playoffs really let us all down.
Even the final game had no drama.
It would have been much better to have the ESPN talking heads drone on for two weeks about an Indiana vs OSU rematch or possibly Indiana vs Georgia. Then play one game for it all.
I guess we can’t go back to the good old days. Stuck watching these playoffs where the actual players determine the champion. Sucks.

For all the criticisms I have of the ESPN invitational one can’t deny that was fun as hell.

Most of the BCS title games were blowouts. USC Texas was the only true classic from that era.

Tennessee won by a TD in 1998
OSU miami went to OT in 2002
LSu beat Oklahoma by 7 in 2003
USC texas went down to the wire in 2005
Auburn beat Oregon by 3 in 2010
FSu beat Auburn by 3 in 2013
Most of the CFP national title games have been blowouts too, including UGA winning 65-7 just a few years ago
